Our parish works together with many others, to help fulfill its mission.
In the first place we work together with our Bishop, Archbishop Vincent Nichols. As our Bishop, it is he who is entrusted with care for the Diocese and its parishes, including our own. proper pastoral responsibility for each parish is entrusted to its parish priest, appointed by and under the authority of the Bishop.
The Church is a communion: and its members and its communities are called to work together and with others for the sharing of the Gospel and for the love of God and neighbour.
Some of those others we work with are based within our boundaries, including local schools such as St Edward's, St Joseph's and St George's, other Christian communities such as the parishes of St John's, St Mark's and St Paul's, and communities of other faiths, like the local synagogues and mosques.
Sometimes that work is carried out in a public and formal way, but more often it is carried out almost privately as we cooperate with each other as we face a range of circumstances, needs and challenges.
Outside of the parish those we work with most closely include our neighbouring Catholic parishes, especially those in the Deanery of Marylebone, the agencies of the Diocese of Westminster, and also with London Citizens.
