Ministry of Welcome

The teams of ushers and parish welcomers help the parish community and its visitors feel at home in the church, so that they can the more easily share in prayer together.

• They distribute service sheets and song books as needed.

• They welcome visitors and greet those already at home here.

• They assist people with particular needs – e.g. mobility, language.

• They assist with taking the Sunday collection.

• They help ensure the communion procession takes place easily and prayerfully.
