Over a numer of years, our former Archbishop, Cardinal Cormac Murphy-O'Connor, directed that every liturgy celebrated in the diocese should be a prepared liturgy. The liturgy is not well celebrated if the priest simply turns up, opens the book and gets on with it!
In our parish a range of individuals and groups take responsibility for assisting with the liturgy. Each ministry, worthily exercised, may help the parish to the deeper participation in the liturgy which was called for in Communion and Mission and which the Holy See has urged over many years.
