Liturgical ministers serve the community’s prayer in a variety of ways. Some help prepare the liturgy and the church for the parish’s celebration. Others minister during the liturgy itself.
The groups of ministers include the following:
Ministers exercise their various gifts in a variety of ways, but always it is necessary that all this work is coordinated to the service of the congregation in its work of offering the liturgy to the glory and honour of God and as source and summit of the life of the parish.
Ministers are commissioned for their service, and are helped to carry out their responsibilities by participation in a regular programme of times of recollection and continuing formation.
