Archbishop Vincent Nichols is currently assisted in running the diocese by three auxiliary (assistant) bishops: Bishop Alan Hopes, Bishop John Arnold and Bishop John Sherringtam..
The bishop who has particularly pastoral responsibility for our area of London was Bishop Longley, now Archbishop of Birmingham. Until a new auxilliary is appointed to this area Canon Paschal Ryan, has been appointed episcopal vicar with particular responsibility of pastoral oversight of this area in London.
